Wedding · Winter, church ceremony
Josemari & Elaine
A wedding at Scarborough, ON
Josemari and Elaine were married on a bright winter day in Scarborough, in a church lined with stained glass. Elaine wore a long cathedral veil, Josemari a classic barong, and their families filled the pews.
At the altar
They sat side by side beneath the stained glass, listening, praying and stealing a glance at each other now and then.
Promises
Hands raised for the blessing, heads bowed for the prayers. A Filipino Catholic ceremony carries a lot of ritual, and they moved through every moment of it together.
Husband and wife
Walking back down the aisle as a married couple, the whole church came alive. Later, a quiet moment just for the rings.
Winter light
Afterwards we found a bright, modern space with tall windows and snow outside. Elaine's veil ran the length of the floor, and the light did the rest.
